Cash flow forecasting
Cash flow forecasting software that shows the week cash gets tight
A cash flow forecast answers one question: how much money will be in the bank on a given date? CashSoft builds that forecast from your current balance, the money you expect to receive and the bills you know are coming — then flags the weeks where the balance drops below the level you are comfortable with.
Why a forecast matters more than last month's report
Accounting reports describe the past. A profit and loss statement can look healthy while the bank account is heading toward zero, because customers pay late, taxes fall due in a lump and payroll does not wait.
A forward-looking forecast turns those timing gaps into dates you can see. Instead of discovering a shortfall when a payment bounces, you see it weeks ahead, while you still have options: chase a receivable, move a supplier payment or arrange a credit line.
How CashSoft builds your forecast
The method is deliberately simple and transparent, so you can always see why a number is what it is.
1. Opening cash
Start with your actual bank balance on a specific date.
2. Expected money in
Add customer receipts, loans or other inflows with the date you realistically expect them — not the invoice date.
3. Expected money out
Add one-off payments and recurring items such as rent, payroll, subscriptions and loan instalments. Recurring schedules repeat automatically: weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly or a custom interval.
4. Closing cash, period by period
CashSoft rolls the balance forward and shows opening cash, inflows, outflows and closing cash for every week or month.
What you get
- A 13-week weekly forecast for short-term planning and a 12-month view for the year ahead.
- Alerts when the projected balance falls below your safety threshold or below zero.
- Base, optimistic and pessimistic scenarios to test delays and cost increases.
- CSV and Excel import for existing income and expense lists.
- Reports you can export to Excel or PDF for your bank, accountant or partners.
Deterministic numbers you can check
Every balance in CashSoft is calculated with fixed, tested arithmetic. The AI assistant can explain your forecast in plain English, but it never invents or calculates the numbers itself. If two people enter the same data, they get the same forecast.
